So this was the most unanticipated time of everyone’s lives. COVID-19 had gripped most parts of the country and the world. There were many hardships people were facing throughout the world. I was fortunate enough to have a roof over my head and food to eat.

It was during the month of April that me and my friend had participated in a Hackathon organised by the Internity Foundation. It was there when we first came in contact with the Internity Foundation. Although we weren’t able to complete our product by the end of 17 hours but it was a hearty experience. The mentors guided us throughout the night.

One morning I received an E-mail from the foundation regarding their summer internships. It felt good because I had the opportunity to intern while still being in the second year and I didn’t want to let this go, so I opted for Data Structures And Algorithms Internship which is of 45 days. After giving both the rounds i.e the technical and the interview I got a mail that I was selected for the internship.

The Internship began with an orientation session by the CEO himself. We were then made familiar with many technologies and instruments which are used in the industry like Slack, Trello, Github and StackOverflow. I was new to Trello but did have some basic knowledge of the other three.

There have been two Coding Contests as of now. I wasn’t able to do good at both of them because of my ongoing internals. But despite this I received support from my Stream Head and Coach. There are many more contests to come still and I just hope that I will be better with each passing day. There are also presentations and projects which I think I will be good at. I hope this internship helps me to grow my technical skills and also help me in increasing my circle and creating new acquaintances.
